Shoe Drive

Greater Nanticoke Area Senior Class Launches Shoe Drive Fundraiser

The Greater Nanticoke Area Senior Class conducted a shoe drive fundraiser during the summer of 2019 and earned funds based on the total weight of the pairs of shoes collected and released to Funds2Orgs. Many helped by donating gently worn, used and new shoes.

All donated shoes will be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners. Funds2Orgs works with micro-entrepreneurs in helping them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited. Proceeds from the sale of the shoes collected in shoe drive fundraiser are used to feed, clothe and house their families.

By donating gently worn, used and new shoes to the GNA Senior Class, contributors gave their shoes a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives around the world.

Donations were made by dropping off new or gently used shoes outside of the 1st set of bus port doors at the GNA High School from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on the following days: July 3, July 17, July 31, August 7, and August 21. If unable to participate in the drop-off, community members were able to call 570-258-5025 for porch pick-up.
